A Brief History of the Development of The Honeycomb Panel
The honeycomb aluminum panel is a widely used modern material for different applications, such as cladding, flooring, ceiling, marine, and transportation. It’s composed of two layers of aluminum sheets with an aluminum honeycomb core sandwiched between them. Thermoplastic adhesive films are used to bond those parts to create a complete composite panel. Despite being lightweight, honeycomb panels are notably strong. They’re cost-effective, too. But how did they come to be and who invented them?
