It's like Final is at a higher social level than other MMO I've ever played. The majority of games have a social aspect centered around guilds and chat, however Final does an amazing job in allowing players to interact with each other.

This is supported by great emoticons, including bards and I'm sure it's true. 2+ seater mounts, homes apartment, wedding events and etc makes the idea of doing nothing with your loved ones really enjoyable.

Compare GW2 and other MMOs. Amazingly, the game is highly cooperative due to the game's design. However there is no socialization. very... but not very much.

It's logical! The very fast and extremely sluggish combat is non-conductive for socializing during combat, therefore there is no way to induce socialization at a very basic level, leading to slightly less desire to socialize in general that extends to all non-combat zones of play. The entire game is designed to be an open-world, cooperative game that is better than other MMOs.

I'm not sure if that's the gcd specificallythat causes this, (at least not at content of more than 60-70) but i agree with the idea that increased social interaction when the game is slowing down which is the primary reason that makes classic wow as more social. A majority say its because no duty finder, but i disagree since there is no way to categorize spamming chats with lfg a social activity, however what was the game's feature that encouraged social interaction? It was the amount of down times and you can feel this in FF14 along with Eureka which was very social due to the amount of period you spent creating NM's or with Prae in the cutscenes.
