Another style of bomber jacket, also known as a flight jacket. The B-15 bomber jacket was light in weight, having replaced the previous leather jacket, which was too heavy for the pilots.
The MA-1 we're seeing here is a modernised version of the B-15 bomber jacket. It replaces the B-15's wraparound collar with a knitted collar with elastic. With minor changes, the MA-1 quickly replaced the B-15, and to this day, the MA-1 is the modern bomber jacket that we wear on a daily basis.
