I believe the Nintendo Switch's lifecycle is rapidly approaching its end, and when it does, Nintendo will be prepared to unleash its next A-list star to guarantee that the Switch successor continues to generate revenue. Even if this means we have a long wait ahead of us before Mario's next interactive adventure, past experiences show that the wait will be worthwhile. While it's true that this was a squandered opportunity, Mario has a strong brand and we'll all be rooting for him to return to his pursuit of Bowser.
